Blackburn Goaltending Elite Camp
Coach Blackburn is very excited to offer a new and exciting high-level, 6 weeks Elite Camp this summer. This camp will be for serious goaltenders looking to take their game to the next level. Coach Blackburn was a recent Professional Goalie and knows what it takes to get to the highest level. In his short time as a fulltime goalie instructor, Coach Blackburn has developed a reputation as a premier goalie instructor for all ages. Enrollment Requests and registration is now available via the registration tab. Below is a summary for pricing and camp dates:
The rate per week is reduced if you choose to attend more than 1 week of instruction. The per week cost is $500. If you choose to attend 2 weeks your cost is reduced to $400 per week. If you choose to attend 3-5 weeks your per week cost is reduced to $300. The greatest savings come if you choose to attend all 6 weeks for a $275 per week cost.

Camps will start at 12:00 and end at 1:30. Off ice training will start at 2:00 and last an hour.
Dates for 2009 Summer Camps Coach has set up his dates, most will coincide with team camps at Orchard Lake. Times will be added once confirmed:

july 6th -10 mite
july 20-24 peewee
july 27-31 bant.
Aug 3-7 girls camp Why should you choose Blackie? Welcome to Blackburn Goaltending! This site is for goalies by goalies, and should be able to answer all of of you're questions about the different services that we provide for your goaltender(s). This site is brand new so we'll be adding lots of new things. Be sure to keep visiting for updated services, camps, and other fun stuff that all revolve around goalies.
A little about me, I grew up playing hockey in Alaska, (not much else to do there in the winter). I came down south at the age of 15 and started playing Juniors in Montana, where I played for two years. I then went on to play Junior A for three years in the USHL prior to becoming a 4 year starter at the University of Michigan. After school, I had a brief stint playing with the Phoenix Coyotes where I was drafted in the 5th round. I played three years pro, then was ready to retire. I'm currently the Goaltending coach for the University of Michigan as well as working with a number of young goalies around the area. I now live in Livonia with my wife Ani, daughter Olivia, and son Colt.
You should have no problem navigating the site to find the information that you need to know about the summer camp registration form. If you have any trouble at all, please feel free to contact me and I can walk you through it. You'll notice when registering for camp, that there is an option to purchase a Blackburn Goaltending hat. If you're interested, they are black fitted baseball hats with my logo on the front, and look pretty cool.
I've started off small this year with only two camps, but plan to expand in the coming years. I'm committed to offering you a great camp with a great environment for learning the position, getting better, and most of all having a great time while doing so. If the camp you are interested in is full, please send me your contact information so that next year I can be sure to book enough ice to accommodate everyone that wants to attend.
We will be having another camp over Christmas break. I don't have the details yet, but check back with us and I hopefully will have more information soon. I hope that everyone has a great summer and I look foward to seeing you at camp.
One more thing just wanted to make sure that everyone knows the camps will be at Orhard Lake St. Mary's.
