Team instruction is our most popular service. Team instruction is where we come to you. There's no ice to buy, because it's already been paid for by your team. All you pay for is the instructor. We simply come to your practice and work with your goalies for an hour or an hour and a half. Please notify your coach before we come out so that any changes to a practice plan can be made. We also like to talk for a few minutes with the coach and goalies prior to the start of practice so that we can make a plan to ensure that everyone's needs are met, goalies, team, and coaches. Depending on your coach's practice schedule, we generally like to work one on one with the goalies at the start of practice, where we can pinpoint things that each goalie in particular needs to work on. Next, we break off into normal practice as we actively watch the goalie go through drills and correct problems, explain how to play certain scenerios, and offer advice on save selection for certain shots. This is an excellent way to try out the things the goalie is learning through repetition of the drills.
Note to Coaches: There is nothing to be afraid of, we are very flexible ,and can work around any needs that the team has. We will not take over your practice, but are simply there to help the goalies, which in turn ultimately helps the team.
Team instruction is also an excellent opportunity to teach the coaches as well as the goalies. Most coaches think that the best thing you can do for a goalie is to shoot a thousand pucks at the goalie right in a row. The problem here is that the number one rule in goaltending is thrown out the window, which is watching the puck from the shooters stick into your body. When shooters shoot in rapid succession, there isn't time to watch each puck into the body, and thus bad habits start. There is only one puck on the ice in a game, and therefore we should practice the same way with a goalie, focusing on one puck at a time.
